The St. Louis Zoo says farewell to one of their Polar Bears, but hello to two new members.

In a post seen on the St. Louis Zoo Facebook Page, the St. Louis Zoo said goodbye to their Kali, a 12-year-old polar bear who will now call the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium home. In exchange for Kali, however, the St. Louis Zoo welcomes a pair of 2-year-old polar bear twins.

Meet Thunder & Lightning

The two polar bears (named Thunder and Lightning) were born in November of 2022 at the Toledo Zoo and are known to have a close bond with each other.

The twins have not made their debut yet as they are still adjusting to their new home, but according to the post they should make their debut within the next few weeks.
