Saint Louis Zoo Welcomes Grevy’s Zebra Foal Prince
There's a new addition to see at the Saint Louis Zoo.
A Rare Grevy’s Zebra Birth at the Zoo
On May 26, the Saint Louis Zoo welcomed a new Grevy's zebra foal. The male foal, named Prince, was born weighing 95 pounds to parents Amira and Presley.
Meet Prince: The Newest Zoo Resident
The zoo reports that Prince is doing very well during his first few weeks of life and has been bonding with his mother in the Grevy's zebra habitat located in the Red Rocks area of the zoo.

Where Visitors Can See the Foal
Visitors can now see the new foal alongside Amira in the habitat. Presley has since been moved to the new WildCare Park, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
Conservation Importance of Grevy’s Zebras
Prince is among nearly 40 Grevy's zebras born at the Saint Louis Zoo over the past five decades and is the first Grevy's zebra foal associated with the Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Park. These births are especially important because Grevy's zebras are considered endangered worldwide.

If you can't make it to the zoo, be sure to follow the Saint Louis Zoo on social media for updates on Prince as he continues to grow and thrive throughout the summer..
