Registration Open for Kids Fishing Day at Mark Twain Lake
What Is Missouri Free Fishing Days?
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake will host Kids Fishing Day on June 6 from 8 a.m. to noon for children ages 5 to 12 in celebration of Missouri Free Fishing Days on June 6 and 7.
Fishing Equipment Will Be Provided
Registration for the event is now open and will close at noon on June 5. Don’t have any fishing equipment? That’s okay. The Missouri Department of Conservation will provide fishing gear for participants, although attendees are welcome to bring their own equipment.
Why Fishing Creates Lasting Memories
I still remember going fishing in the ocean with my uncle more than 20 years ago. I caught at least 30 fish that day, and it remains one of my favorite memories with him.

Don’t wait, space is limited to the first 30 participants who register in advance. To sign up, call the Mark Twain Lake Project Office at (573) 735-4097 or visit the office at 20642 Highway J in Monroe City, Missouri.
