According to NBC Chicago the Illinois Supreme Court voted on the morning of August 11th to uphold the semiautomatic weapon ban in the Land of Lincoln, on their site NBC Chicago says...

"The Illinois Supreme Court on Friday voted to uphold the state's ban on certain types of semiautomatic weapons, reversing a lower court's decision on a lawsuit alleging the ban violates the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms...The law bans dozens of specific brands or types of rifles and handguns, .50-caliber guns, attachments and rapid-firing devices. No rifle is allowed to accommodate more than 10 rounds, with a 15-round limit for handguns. The most popular gun targeted is the AR-15 rifle."

I have a gut feeling this isn't the end of the road for this law in court, I would imagine there could be an appeal all the way up to the supreme court. I would ask our listeners how does this make you feel? Do you like living in a state like Illinois that is proactively taking semiautomatic rifles like the AR-15 and trying to get them off the shelves of gun stores? Or does this really concern you, are you considering moving to another state that you feel protects your second amendment right more to your liking?
