I am still on the fence about letting my girls go out and trick-or-treat this year, but the Quincy Fire Department is giving families a safe way to enjoy Halloween.

The Quincy Fire Department will be hosting drive-up trick-or-treating at Central Fire Station from 4 pm to 7 pm on Halloween. Like many other events this year, it will look a little different then in previous years. Drivers are asked to pull their cars up into the drive-in front of the fire station, located at 9th & Vermont in Quincy, with their windows down.

All participates are asked to wear a mask when coming to the event. Firefighters will not be able to hand out candy if mask are not worn by parents and children. This is to keep everyone safe, especially the firefighters who work in public safety and we must do our part to protect (not only us), but our first responders.

So, if you, like myself, are still feeling a little uneasy about this year's trick-or-treating there are ways to still have fun, while staying safe and keeping everyone protected. Also, don't forget the bedtime stories read by firefighters for the spooky holiday
