For those wondering just what does the Quincy Fire Department do while waiting for an alarm to come for their assistance, well the answer is..... plenty of things. Their so-called "idle" time is occupied daily with building inspections to flushing out fire hydrants.

For those who are inquisitive regarding the activities of the Quincy Fire Department, there is an opportunity coming up in June to learn more.  The Q.F.D. is holding another Citizen Fire Academy starting on June 1.
