Missouri Woman Turning Neighborhood Garage Doors into Sweet Art

I've heard it said that when life deals you lemons, make lemonade. That principle applies to what a Missouri woman is doing. When faced with garage doors in her neighborhood that needed TLC, she turned them into brilliant works of art.

This is a neat video feature that Steve Harris of KMOV in St. Louis did recently about a Washington, Missouri woman who saw one of her neighbor's garage doors in a state of disrepair. She wanted to offer to paint it, but thought perhaps she should paint hers first to show them the possibilities so that's exactly what she did.

After seeing hers, they enthusiastically said yes to her painting offer so she went to work.

Before she knew it, nearly her entire neighborhood volunteered their garage doors for her art. Now, in this Washington, Missouri place, you'll see flowers and bees (the painted kind) everywhere.

It's one of those Missouri stories you wish you heard more. Neighbors living a happy life in harmony with other neighbors. In this case, a neighbor with an immense artistic talent and a willing paint brush.
