Wizard of Oz Festival Coming to Ralls County

Missouri's largest Wizard of Oz festival is closer than you think.

New London, Missouri will transform to the magical Land of Oz during the weekend of August 26-27. You may find yourself thinking "I don't think we're in Missouri anymore." There will be several activities to take part in this weekend, so grab your friends and dress up for this family fun event.

There will be vendors, games for kids, even an old fashioned Wizard of Oz marionette puppet show. Also, make sure you dress up as your favorite character from the movie as there will be a costume contest for all ages.

Food and drinks will also be on hand along with artists, authors, a petting zoo, a craft tent, and a kiddie carnival. Grab your monkeys (and your red ruby slippers) and follow the yellow brick road to the Wizard of Oz festival. I might have to introduce my girls to this movie sooner than later.
