I have so many questions. A new ranking of states that are supposedly united at the moment asks the question of what happens if they aren't. It states that Illinois is best equipped (literally) to be a state that survives what would almost absolutely be a tragic conflict. Did I mention that I have so many questions?

I am a fan of technology and admit that movie streaming is convenient. However, I do miss the excitement of new release days back when video rental stores flourished and Illinois apparently feels that way too as there are now 6 free video rental boxes around the Land of Lincoln.

Missouri is known for mysterious creatures including Bigfoot, Mo-Mo, Sasquatch among others. But, did you know that the smelliest monster of them all exists somewhere in the Ozarks right across the Missouri border according to legends?

I miss the days of old school video rental. This current generation will never understand the thrill or disappointment of finding (or not) the latest movie release behind the box in the video store. There are still two Blockbuster video locations surviving in Missouri - sort of.

Did you know that many of the iconic scenes from a classic 1980's movie were all filmed in a real Illinois place? What used to be the high school detention center for The Breakfast Club is now a real detention center for the Illinois State Police.

It appears that there is a Missouri town that is now famous for two different things. First, it's just been rated as one of the worst towns to live in Missouri. Oh, and it apparently was founded by one of the ancestors of Hollywood icon Brad Pitt.

I find it a bit ironic (and sad) that few states in America have more people that live alone than Illinois. So many people, yet so many that live by themselves and that's a cause for concern.

There's nothing quite like having someone you love that loves you back in a long-term relationship. In some states, after 7 years together, you are common law marriage. What about Missouri? Is there common law marriage in the Show Me State? The answer is both yes and no. It's complicated.

Attention global military leaders: please do not ever do this again. The United States gave artificial intelligence control of our nuclear arsenal in a simulation and it proceeded to remove Missouri from the map.

Normally going to jail is not something that anyone aspires to do. However, there is one jail in Missouri that is an exception. It's a historic 1930's jail that has been converted into a luxurious Airbnb that you can stay in now.
