Giraffe and Rhinos Arrive to Missouri's WildCare Safari Park

One Missouri city is getting closer to opening a massive new wildlife safari, with new animals arriving at the amusement park this past week.

WildCare Park Opening in 2027

Back in 2022, the St. Louis Zoo announced plans to bring a 425-acre WildCare Park to Missouri. The new park will serve as a home for endangered animals and species at risk of extinction in the wild. WildCare Park is scheduled to open in 2027.

Safari Experiences for Guests

Guests will be able to experience two 30-minute safaris in vehicles that seat 30 to 40 people. During the rides, visitors will learn about the animals they see and how they’re cared for each day. The park will also feature giraffe feeding experiences, glamping opportunities, and several new restaurants.

Endangered Animals Find a New Home

This week, animals began making WildCare Park their home. Two giraffes, Mo and Daniel, and several rhinos are now settling in. The giraffes are the first of six expected to arrive in St. Louis, with more rhinos on the way as well.
