Wild Video Shows Missouri Truck Sliding Backward on Ice Today

The winter weather system that is moving through the tri-states today caused extremely icy conditions this morning as a new video proves showing a truck sliding backward at a high rate of speed on ice.

Kudos to KSDK out of St. Louis where I first saw this. This was shared by the Missouri Highway Patrol on Twitter today. Wouldn't want to be the person in the red truck (or in any vehicle nearby). This happened in Audrain County today.

There's no report that anyone was injured in this incident. I'm having a hard time understanding exactly how the truck ended up in this position. Perhaps avoiding someone else prior to appearing on the trooper's screen? The only thing I know for certain is that this time of year you assume the road underneath you is slick and if it isn't, that's a bonus.
