Saturday night on our way home from Quincy,  My family and I saw the aftermath of a vehicle fire along Interstate 72. If you didn't hear about the incident, you can check out KHQA's story here.

Fortunately, it appears that no one was injured in the incident.

After seeing the charred remains of the truck, it got me to thinking about what would I do, if I found my own vehicle on fire. The obvious first thought would be to get out of the car immediately. Easier said than done, especially if you're driving in heavier traffic.

So, to be better safe than sorry, I looked up some info on what to do if you experience a car fire.  You can check out the list from cars.com here.

Take a look at the list and mentally prepare, in case you ever find yourself in this particular situation.
