Yesterday was International Museum Day! Can't believe I missed it. Couldn't walk through a store without seeing decorations all over the place. Anyway, this summer make sure you check out a few great Hannibal museums.

Hannibal History Museum

The Hannibal History Museum is a great resource for finding all about the fair city, from its founding all the way back in 1819, to its role in the American Civil War right up through the Industrial Revolution on until today, it's a great place to walk through time and find out all the cool things that make Hannibal... Hannibal! For all you ghost lovers, you can even take part in the Haunted Hannibal Tour. For more information about the Hannibal History Museum, check out their website.

Mark Twain Boyhood Home

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home right on Main Street is the perfect celebration of all things Samuel Clemens. From his boyhood home that has been open to the public since 1912, to the actual museum and gift shop, even the Becky Thatcher and Huck Finn houses. This summer, Mark Twain impersonator Jim Waddell has returned for performances of "The Inspiration of Tom Sawyer" taking place in the Museum Auditorium.
