Some structures are a man-made marvel and Missouri has one of them.

When you think of structures the Willis Tower in Illinois probably comes to mind, along with the Golden Gate Bridge, and others. When I think of tall structures I think of bridges and tall towers, but the tallest structure in Missouri is neither.

The Tallest Structure in Missouri

It's the staple landmark in St. Louis and is part of the nation's history. The Gateway Arch is the tallest in the Show-Me State and is man-made. According to Love Exploring,

it’s not only the tallest man-made structure in the state but also the tallest monument in the entire US, constructed from 43,000 tons of concrete and steel.

Standing next to this marvel is unreal. Looking up (or looking down) 630 feet high is both gut-wrenching and amazing to imagine how something like this could be built. The museum attached to the Arch details the amazing journey the men who built this took.
