Study Claims Missouri is Not the Best State to Visit This Fall
Here's another study claiming Missouri isn't the best for something and in this case, these "experts" got this completely wrong.
Apparently, Missouri is not one of the top states to visit for fall. I guess these experts have never driven down to Branson, Springfield, or in the southern part of Missouri during the peak fall foliage time of year. I think if they did they would change their minds about Missouri and fall. Lawn Starter ranked states on several categories including fall foliage, scenic drives, fall festivals, and pumpkin patches, and ranked Missouri at 23.

Okay, so it's not horrible and maybe I am a little biased, but Missouri should, in my opinion anyway, be in the tip 10. The overall score was 37.19 and the only category Missouri ranked somewhat high in is safety.
Missouri's Ranking
The Show-Me State ranked low in fall scenery (WHAT!?) with a rank of 39, outdoor recreation ranked 27, and entertainment ranked 30th. I know not all 50 states can't be number one, but I feel like they are missing out on so much of what Missouri offers in the fall.
Best States for Fall
Lawn Starter says these are the top five best states to visit for fall:
- California
- New York
- Washington
- Michigan
- Pennsylvania
Whatever your opinion may be about fall in Missouri, I can tell you this, the Show-Me State has so much to offer this season that you need to take advantage of and enjoy as much as you can before old man winter comes knocking on the door.
