Missouri is once again home to the best theme park in the country.

Fan Voting Helps Secure the Top Spot

Silver Dollar City has once again been named the Best Theme Park in the country by USA Today 10Best. For a short time, the park slipped into second place, but fans of the iconic Missouri attraction helped vote it back to the number one spot.

Why Silver Dollar City Keeps Winning

This marks the fourth consecutive year Silver Dollar City has earned the top ranking, making it the longest-running streak in the history of the awards. The park also picked up several other honors, including a top-three finish for Best Theme Park Restaurant, the highest ranking ever for the park’s Time Traveler coaster, and the highest ranking ever for the Showboat Branson Belle. Overall, it was a big year for Silver Dollar City at the USA Today 10Best Awards.

Okay, okay — I’m convinced. I need to visit Silver Dollar City.

I’ve never been before, but now that my girls are older and absolutely LOVE roller coasters and theme parks, Silver Dollar City has been on our list for a while. Now it finally looks like we’re going to make the trip this summer.

Honestly, I’m more excited about the shows than the rides. I’m not the biggest roller coaster thrill-seeker, so while the rest of my family is off riding all the loopy coasters, I’ll be taking in as many shows as I can.
