Investigators are looking into the cause of a Quincy house fire Monday afternoon.

Fire crews were called to 410 Maiden Lane just before 3 p.m. Monday.

They arrived to find heavy fire in the rear of the residence.

Fire officials said it appears the blaze started in a back addition of the home, causing smoke and fire damage on the main floor of the house.

No one was home at the time of the fire, although a dog in the house did get out safely.
A cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
