With Missouri restaurants set to open their dining areas May 4th, here is what to expect...

As Illinois remains in "shelter in place" with dining rooms closed in restaurants until at least the end of May due to coronavirus, Missouri restaurants will have the option to open up their dining spaces starting Monday, May 4th with some restrictions of course. What will it look like if you go to sit down at your favorite Missouri restaurant in May, well according to KFVS12.com those guidelines include...

  • Regulate self-serve options such as salad bars and buffets
  • Use disposable menus
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees, if available
  • Tables and seating spaced according to social distancing requirements
  • Food courts can operate as long as social distancing and community seating is addressed

Also as part of the reopening plan, continue to keep your social distancing to 6ft, that will take place inside of restaurants and stores as well. To read the full report from KFVS12.com click here!

These are just some of the precautions that restaurants can take, and Missouri Governor Mike Parson still is encouraging the use of drive-thru, pick up, and delivery services. I would just say that you should use the golden rule when going back into public spaces "Treat people the way you want to be treated" keep your distance, wash your hands, don't touch your face, be respectful, and most importantly if you are sick or thing you're sick please stay home.
