Mark is Leaving 97.9 KICK-FM

Hey everyone it's Mark, from "Mornings w/Mark & Sam" and yes, I am leaving KICK-FM. 

I started at 97.9 KICK-FM in March of 2019, and it has been the best 5 and a half years of my life working for this radio station. Since moving to Quincy to take this job I met my incredible wife, became a stepfather to two fantastic kids, and made lifelong friends, thanks to this job.

I have loved every minute of cohosting "Mornings w/Mark & Sam" and it will be very hard to say goodbye to the show on Friday. But there are some important things you loyal KICK-FM listeners need to know! Sam will continue hosting a LIVE and LOCAL radio morning show here on KICK-FM, and she is already hard at work putting together a fantastic morning show for you all.

I want to take a moment to thank Sam for being the best boss, cohost, and friend I could have asked for on this 5 1/2-year journey with KICK-FM, the Tri-States are lucky to have you.

Finally, I just want to say thank you to the  KICK-FM listeners. You all welcomed a guy from Chicago to this rural Quincy/Hannibal area and made me feel so welcomed here. I will miss interacting with you all daily during the show and meeting with you all at the great Tri-State events like Hannibal BBQ Fest, the Marion County Fair, the Dogwood Parade, and many more.
