Tourists Say This Missouri Spot Isn’t Worth the Hype
Not every attraction in Missouri lives up to the hype. One in particular had visitors excited to explore, but many say they left disappointed and underwhelmed.
Tourists Say This Missouri Spot Isn’t Worth the Hype
Branson is known for having a ton of attractions to explore. From the Titanic Museum to live shows, music, Silver Dollar City, and more, you wouldn’t think there’s an attraction that visitors don’t enjoy—but apparently, there is.

Love Exploring ranked the most overrated attraction in the Show-Me State, and the Branson Scenic Railway took the top spot. While visitors love the nostalgic ride on the old Ozark Zephyr, many say the views from the train aren’t that impressive, mostly just dense forest, with not much else to see.

Other Overrated Missouri Attractions
Also in Branson, the Shepherd of the Hills attraction seems to be one you can skip the next time you’re in town. And as grand and spectacular as it is, and despite being a major part of Missouri’s history, the Gateway Arch is often seen as a one-and-done experience. Many visitors say that once you've been there, you don’t really feel the need to go back again.
If you find yourself planning a Missouri staycation this summer, you might want to skip these attractions and look for something a little more exciting to experience.
