Missouri is Home to One of the Oldest Roller Coasters in the USA
Those who seek thrills and enjoy screaming as loud as they can on a roller coaster don't have to go far to ride one of the best and oldest.
Oldest Roller Coaster in Missouri
I am not the biggest roller coaster fan, but I have ridden one of the oldest coasters in the nation. That honor belongs to the River King Mine Train at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka. Opened in 19712 this roller coaster is still operational at Six Flags St. Louis.
Not only is the Mine Train the oldest coaster in the Show-Me State, but it was also the first coaster to be built at Six Flags St. Louis. If you've never ridden a coaster I would recommend riding this one as your first.
It's not too fast or slow, there are not too many hard curves or just one 41-foot drop (in the dark), if you think you can manage that then this is for you. Let's face it, if I can ride this and enjoy it and have fun I know you can. I am a wimp when it comes to riding coasters.

The coaster is over 2,300 feet in length, goes 37 miles per hour, and is one of the historic features at Six Flags St. Louis.
