The AFC & NFC Championships are this Sunday, here is how I see them going down...

Last weekends divisional round playoffs were fantastic! If you read my predictions on the games then you know that I correctly predicted the winner of all four games, despite being ridiculously wrong on the score of the Bills vs the Ravens, I feel really good about last weekend and am confident with my predictions for the Championship games in the AFC and NFC.

NFC Championship Game

The first game on Sunday is the Packers hosting the Buccaneers at 2:05 pm on FOX. The Packers come in as favorites at -3, with the game time temperatures expected to be in the low 30's and possible precipitation. My heart will be rooting for Tampa Bay, anyone who says the Bucs can't win is silly, yes Green Bay is playing incredible football right now, BUT Tampa manhandled GB in Tampa earlier this year. The only way for Tampa to win is to repeat that game plan where they create turnovers early and make GB one dimensional. My heart wants it to happen, but my brain and gut say Rodgers will slice up Tampa, and Jones will run the ball effectively, this game is close early but Green Bay pulls away late and Brady throws a bad pick, Packers beat the Bucs 30-24.

AFC Championship Game

The Packers will be watching closely as the Bills travel to Kansas City to battle the Chiefs at 5:40 pm on CBS. (OBVIOUSLY this analysis is based on Mahomes starting the game, because if Mahomes is out the Bills will CRUSH the Chiefs). I like the Chiefs in this game because they have been here before (literally their 3rd year in a row hosting the AFC Championship game). Buffalo to this point has underwhelmed in the playoffs and as great as Josh Allen has been I think this moment is too big for them. For the Bills to win (with Mahomes playing) they will NEED to get out to a big lead, now I know...I know...The Chiefs have come back from behind before, but I think if this Bills team smells blood in the water and Allen gets hot and confident with a lead they will have a real chance. If they get down to Mahomes early and they start to feel the pressure its over for them. I think that's exactly what will happen with Allen making a play of two late to make the score closer then the game appeared. Chiefs over Bills 35-30.
