You're gonna wanna bring your appetite to one of the best food festivals in America.

Happening in late summer (August 25 - August 27) at Western Gateway Park in Downtown Des Moines is the 2023 World Food & Music Festival. Since 2005 this food festival has brought hundreds of vendors and thousands of people to Downtown Des Moines to enjoy different cuisine. last year, the festival hosted about 50 food vendors representing 27 countries. An even more reason to attend this festival, it was just named one of the best city food festivals according to USAtoday.com.

...the World Food & Music Festival highlights international cuisine with a diverse group of food and drink vendors, as well as interactive culinary programming. Live performances, such as Irish dancing and Taiko drumming, add to the fun and ambiance, truly making this event a feast for the senses.

If you would like to be a vendor at this year's festival now is the time to get registered and share your food with one of the best festivals in the nation. Each year the event offers international cuisine which if you can't make it overseas is the place to try some international foods. Also live music, cooking demonstrations, and plenty of wine and craft beer to try. This is a family-friendly event and the organizers encourage bringing the whole family.

I've never been to Des Moines, but this festival is calling my name, and what a way to spend the summer with a weekend away at the World Food & Music Festival. I might have to schedule a trip this year and report back to you all.
