The District in Quincy is hosting a "Shop Local Saturday" which is a chance for you to shop at certain local businesses Tax Free! The event is all happening on this Saturday, May 8th and it's a great opportunity to find that special gift for mom, with Mother's Day being Sunday. On the Facebook event page for Shop Local Saturday they say...

"Head to The District for a fun day of tax-free, local shopping! Browse participating shops for unique goods and services, in-store specials and plenty of fun surprises for you! Shop Local and enjoy tax-free purchases!"

I really love the idea of making a day of it, grab brunch at Thyme Square, do some shopping, grab an afternoon beer from Quincy Brewing Company and have a fun time treating yourself and supporting local!
