Santa will be coming to town this weekend, but he can really use your help to make sure that all the boys and girls in the area enjoy a happy holiday season.

Toys for Tots will once again be collecting brand new, unwrapped toys at the Quincy Mall. And if you donate, your kiddos will be rewarded with a ride on a real Quincy fire truck through the Quincy Mall parking lot. You can also make a cash donation if you would like.

Toys for Tots is in need of toys or cash donation more than ever after losing a $5,000 that was provided annually by Toys R Us. Obviously with the toy retailer closing up shop this year, hopes for that funding ended as well.

From noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, you can give Toys for Tots a jump start on their season. They'll be set up alongside Santa right in front of the fountain court. Fire truck rides will be given in the back lot.

Toys for Tots in Quincy serves four counties in Illinois. In 2017, the organization spent $15,236 on 19,000 toys for 3,786 children in the area.
