I vividly remember making the Orange Julius in the Quincy Mall a regular part of my routine. For the life of me, I can't remember when it closed, but it made me wonder out loud why Orange Julius seems to have disappeared from Illinois entirely or did it really?

There is a soft spot in my heart for Diamond Dave restaurants. There used to be one in Quincy, Illinois and another in Keokuk, Iowa. I honestly thought they were completely gone, but low and behold I found one still hanging in there in Iowa. I also found a retro t-shirt, too.
