No surprise Branson is on the list. It's a place that no matter how old you are there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Travel and Leisure say that you will never be bored in Branson, and I actually agree with them.

It’s also officially the Live Entertainment Capital of the World, with dozens of shows. Nab tickets to Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Abba Tribute — Thank You for the Music. Hopefully, you’ll have time to squeeze in some local performers, too.

It's really a big playground. With mini-golf, go-karts, Silver Dollar City, and tons of shows it's true you won't be bored. We loved our family vacation to Branson, we went non-stop until we left and there were still a ton of tourist attractions we were unable to go and see. It's a definite must-return place for us and fairly inexpensive for a family. Getting away no-a-days is hard for large families, but Branson is a place that everyone can enjoy and you really don't have to spend a ton of money.

Other places on the list close to the Tri-Staets include Chicago and Wisconsin Dells which are both places that are drivable and affordable. We've been lucky enough to have visited all three places and had the best time on a tight budget.
