Mind blown! I had no idea that Hannibal once had a roller skating rink until I found this.

It's amazing what you can find on the world wide web, and how much digging you have to go through to find treasures like the one I found. I found this once used a vintage rol-arena sign that was for Hannibal. It's for sale on eBay for just $24.99 and describes the arena as being the largest in the state. I had no idea Hannibal had a roller rink. It was located at 3817 McMasters Ave which is now the location of Homebankl. I was lucky enough to find a link to what the roller rink used to look like.

From what I have found, the rink was built in 1948 and was over 9,000 square feet. It was dubbed one of the largest and nicest roller rinks in the state of Missouri, which I am sure was a high honor back in the late '40s. I asked around to some people I know of from Hanibal and they do remember the rink and seem t think that it closed in the late '70s early '80s.

If anyone has any pictures that they would like to share from the rol-arena I would love to see them and be able to share them with everyone else. I am sure that if that building was still standing it would be a big hit in Hannibal, maybe someone needs to bring it back. Of course, it would have to be in a different location, but still cool to get something like it back to Hannibal.
