Check Out These Old KICK-FM Promotional Items We Found in a Closet

You know how when you clean out your closet you always find stuff you had completely forgotten about? Imagine cleaning up around a radio station office that has been in use since the 1960s.

Some maintenance work is being done on the KHMO studios in Hannibal, which meant that things had to be moved out of the way for painters, the carpet guys, etc. Here are some of the things that were found in just one closet:

A really ugly, severely out-of-style KICK-FM baseball cap.

An equally ugly and equally out-of-style KHMO cap, which says "Hannibal Football Pirates '1987 A Season to Remember' KHMO."

A black t-shirt from KHMO's 50th anniversary ... in 1991.

A red KICK-FM t-shirt that says "Country so hot, it'll make your radio sweat!"

Bumper stickers (remember those?). We even still have some bumper stickers from KIDS, the KICK-FM call letters before they were KICK-FM. That was a long time ago.

Fans. For years we gave away KICK-FM fans during live broadcasts at county fairs, the K of C BBQ, any event where it's usually hot outside. One of these old fans in the closet is clearly autographed by several people, but we have no idea who the autographs belong to.
