We sold about $100,000 worth of goods and services in three days, and for that we thank you. In the 30-plus years we have been doing Bids for Bargains, it has been all about giving you, the listener, the opportunity to save money on merchandise from area businesses.

Now that the on-air portion of Bids for Bargains is over, here's what happens now:

If you made a purchase, go to Bids4Bargains.com, close your cart and pay for your items. When your certificates are ready to be picked up, you will get a phone call and arrangements can be made for you to pick up your certificates. If you need to pay for your purchases by check, let us know when we call you.

An inevitable question once the on-air auction is done is, "Is there going to be a Clean-Up Day?" This time around, the answer to that question is no - there will not be an ON-AIR Bids for Bargains Clean-Up Day. Our Bids clean-up this time will be on-line ONLY.

Starting Monday, July 19, we will start marking down selected items on the website. If you want to find out which items are being marked down and by how much, you have to go to Bids4Bargains.com. We will keep marking down items until everything's gone.

Once you make your purchase during clean-up, the procedure is the same - close your cart, pay for your purchase and wait for our call.

If you have any questions, you can call the Hannibal office at 573-221-3450 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

And, by the way, Holiday Bids for Bargains starts Tuesday, November 9.
