Emergency Management Director John Simon says low humidities and dry conditions have combined to create a potentially dangerous situation for anyone attempting to burn outdoors.

Residents are asked to be cautious about using matches, cigarettes, torches or other open flame sources that could start an unwanted fire.

A burn ban has not been issued in Adams County, but could be if the current weather conditions continue.
