Area health departments reported 108 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.

Half of those cases, 54, were reported in Adams County, with 48 hospitalized, nine in ICU and 137 deaths, with the seven-day positivity rate dropping slightly to 7.56 percent.

The Ralls County Health Department reported 32 new coronavirus cases since last Thursday. Their case total is now 1,462, with 24 active, two hospitalized and 17 deaths.

Fifteen new COVID cases were reported in Marion County Tuesday, bringing their case total to 4,790, with 63 active, 14 hospitalized and 89 deaths.

And, the Knox County Health Department reported seven new coronavirus cases. Their case total is 516, with 32 active and four deaths.

The Adams County Health Department advises community members who are immunocompromised and wishing to receive a third COVID-19 vaccine to schedule an appointment for vaccine through their primary care provider. At this time the Adams County Health Department is not administering third doses to immunocompromised individuals.

The Adams County Health Department offers FREE COVID-19 vaccines. The immunization clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:15pm, no appointment is necessary to receive a vaccine!
