Are You Ready For It? MODOT Gears Up for T. Swift KC Concert
Everyone in Missouri seems to be preparing themselves for what will be a traffic nightmare this weekend. MODOT is making sure drivers "Are Ready For It" when it comes to Taylor Swift Eras concert traffic this weekend.
It's finally here. Those lucky enough to get Talyor Swift Tickets for her concert in Kansas City this weekend are getting the outfits together, the friendship bracelets made, and making sure to get there on time. MoDOT wants everyone to get to the concert on time, but make sure after the concert everyone gets home safe and sound. Even farmers are getting into the spirit of having the megastar in Missouri.
A fun Facebook post gives some good information on what to expect when heating to Arrowhead this weekend.
Other Things You Should Know
- On both nights the concert starts at 6:30
- Gates will open at 4:30
- This is a sold-out show. You can find tickets only on re-sale sites which are selling tickets for well over $1,000. (BE CARFUL) Ticket scammers are ruthless
- You will not be able to tailgate without a paid ticket
- Stadium bag policy is in place - clear bags only
There will be road closures to help with the flow of traffic after the concert. KMBC reports,
Once the concert is over, westbound I-70 to Blue Ridge Cutoff will be closed, as will southbound Blue Ridge Cutoff north of I-70. Northbound Blue Ridge Cutoff will be closed at Raytown Road, and all traffic exiting Gate 4 will be directed westbound to Ozark and Eastern.
The moral of this story, get there early and be prepared to be in your car/traffic for a while as people leave the stadium. Many of us have been waiting months for this concert and it's finally here. Finger-crossed Mother Nature will be kind this weekend.
