AHH! Home Alone NOT the Most Popular Christmas Movie in Illinois

We are in full Christmas movie-watching season in my house. So, when a list came out listing each state's favorite Christmas movie I was surprised that Home Alone was not #1 for Illinois.

A majority of the states chose this Christmas movie as their favorite. Wishlisted posted the result which said National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is the most popular movie in Illinois. It takes place in Chicago, it's a classic, and you can't go wrong with watching this movie any time of the year to get a good laugh.

It's A Wonderful Life, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Love Actually and Gremlins also made the list but Christmas Vacation dominated most of the U.S. Now, the website only took the Top 25 files from IMDb's Top 100 Christmas movies of all time which according to that list Home Alone ranks #4 and Christmas Vacation #6. For me, it's a hard choice I love both movies, but if I had to choose just one I guess it would be Christmas Vacation.

Also, the holiday debate continues, is Die Hard a Christmas movie? Well, 8 states think so and named it their favorite holiday movie to watch each year,

Where are the Hallmark Christmas movies?  For me watching these movies over and over and over and over again never gets old. They are all classics and we watch them every single year (sometimes more than once).
