According to the data compiled by the website WalletHub.com, St. Louis is the most fun city in the state of Missouri and the 19th most fun city in the entire USA. On the site they say...

"To help Americans find the cities with the greatest number and variety of fun yet cost-effective options, WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities based on 65 key metrics. They range from fitness centers per capita to movie costs to average open hours of breweries."

St. Louis ranks 16th overall in the nightlife and parties category, and in the entertainment and recreation category, and ranks lower in the costs category at 34th. How does St. Louis compare to other cities in the Midwest? Well, the top 3 most fun cities according to WalletHub are Las Vegas, Orland, and Miami (no arguments from me on those 3!). But as far as the Midwest goes, Chicago ranks 10th, Kansas City 46th, Nashville 35th, and Springfield (Missouri) 73rd. Do you think they got these rankings right? I mean don't get me wrong, I love St. Louis a good time, but is it more fun than Nashville?

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
