My family and I recycle the best way we can, but there are a few times when you can't recycle, no matter where you live in Illinois or Missouri.
It might be a pain for some, especially if you live in Quincy since there is not more house-to-house pick-up. However, when you recycle, you are doing a good deed.

Each recycling facility has its own rules & regulations that have to stand by, but there are some items no matter what side the river you live on you can't recycle and have to dispose of a different way.

I know for plastic bags most grocery stores have bins where you can place used plastic bags, books you don't want can be donated to a local library, and toys can be brought to a local donation store. There are ways to get rid of stuff without breaking any laws and regulations.
