A new ranking came out on the Top 50 Most Miserable Cities in America revealed by the U.S. Census and two Missouri cities made the list. According to Science A2Z Springfield and St. Louis are considered the most miserable in America and I think they got this wrong.

Science A2Z says about St. Louis,

St. Louis severely struggles with crime, which has negatively impacted the city as a whole. In 2015, there was a 33% increase in murders, totaling 159 deaths. Because of the violence in the city, 5% of the population left between 2010 and 2018.

Look, we all know that St. Louis there are some places that you just don't go to, but for the most part, St. Louis is a great place to visit, live, and work. There are even articles that claim that St. Louis being named unsafe is so unfair. Crime is king when it comes to St. Louis landing on lists like this and most dangerous, but there is nothing that would stop me if I had the opportunity to move to St. Louis with my family. The other city making the list....drumroll!

Springfield

Science A2Z says about Springfield,

Officially the first Springfield in America, this city is making history yet again, this time as one of the most dangerous cities in the nation. According to Business Insider (taken from 2017 FBI data), Springfield had 40.3 violent crimes per 10,000 residents.

First, I had no idea that Springfield, Missouri was the first "Springfield" in the nation, but much like St. Louis I feel like the city gets a bad reputation because crime rates are so high. I am sure the people that live and work in Springfield get tired of hearing about all the bad and want the people to know how much fun and good there is. Now, where those articles are, I have no idea, but there has to be something good about Springfield...right?
