Born and raised in Hannibal, Missouri...I stopped maturing at age 12 and I have the radio show to prove it. Authorities found me at age 19 in a corner talking to myself...so they decided to give me a pair of headphones, a microphone and a brand new room (with padded walls) for me to talk to myself in...and they called it radio...and that brings us to today. I have been torturing (I mean "entertaining") listeners for 29 years and have been fortunate to win many Missouri Broadcaster awards along the way...which just proves how much everyone else sucks. Truth is I have the best radio listeners in the world who treat me better than any human being could possibly deserve. And that special relationship we have will continue...at least until K-Mart starts hiring again.

Zac Brown Band To Perform At Daytona 500
The only way that the Daytona 500 gets any better for us NASCAR fans is if the Zac Brown Band ends up performing prior to the race. Well, guess what? We get our wish! Word is that the Zac Brown Band will indeed perform prior to the start of this year's Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 24th! Boogity, Boogity, Boogity...let's go racin, boys!
This Is A Reed Timmer Kind Of Day
If you don't like storms, you probably aren't gonna have a great day today. We have a pretty intense day of thunderstorms going through the area and it's not going to be fun. Unless of course, you are Reed Timmer or as he's known on Facebook, Reed Timmer, Extreme Meteorologist and Storm Chaser.
Will it Be a Super Bowl or a Super Bore?
I normally look forward to the Super Bowl. But, then again, normally there is a team in the Super Bowl that I at least kind of like. Not this year. Nope. It's the dreaded 49er's vs the dreaded Ravens. The understatement of the year is I don't have a dog in this fight. (My apologies to Michael Vick for that metaphor)
My Favorite Bad Sy Fy Channel Movie
You may not realize this, but the Sci Fi channel...(oops, I meant "Sy Fy") on your cable is really a comedy network. At least it is for me. I used to think having a channel devoted to science fiction movies was a good idea. Guess it's kind of hard to find enough movies to fill a channel that's on 24/7.
Life In The Fast Lane Is Overated
As you may have recognized, I was not on the radio last Thursday or Friday. Despite what you might have heard, I was not sunning myself on a Mexican beach. Truth is I was as far as you can get from a sunny beach. I was in Chicago. Since I'm a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal fan, I felt like Dracula driving into a garlic factory.
Join Me Live At Tom Boland Ford This Saturday
I don't want to make this sound like a commercial and I promise to limit my references to "heck of a deal, ain't it?" to under a dozen. But, this Saturday from 10a til noon, I will be broadcasting live from Tom Boland Ford in Hannibal. Yeah, sure it does sound like a commercial. But, the reason I'm posting it on the website is I like to drive...a lot.
Can Someone Please Stop The Grunting In Tennis?
As I mentioned yesterday, I miss NASCAR. So, I have resorted to watching...um...other things on television until real sports resume (NASCAR!). This week, it's Australian Open tennis. Only one problem. There is an unusual amount of grunting going on there.
If I Can Just Get 1 Million Likes, I Will…
I have learned everything I need to know about life from Facebook. That's why I have realized that the secret to success is getting one million likes for something. Recently, one million likes was tied to getting a puppy, fornication, among other things. This one guy even got his sister to name her baby Megatron by getting one million likes. So, I'm asking for one million Facebook likes for a v
I Can’t Wait For The 2013 Daytona 500
I am exhibiting all the signs of an addict. Nervous twitches. Random yelling. Inhaling unhealthy amounts of energy drinks. I'm surprised the authorities haven't checked my shed. No, I'm not running a meth lab. It's just that I miss NASCAR and the Daytona 500 can't get here quick enough.
Best Wishes, Stan Musial
There have been some great tributes to the late Stan Musial since his passing this weekend. Most have chronicled his Hall of Fame career and what he meant to the city of St. Louis. Mine is a personal one as seen through the eyes of an 11-year-old boy back in 1977. That 11-year-old was me.
