The 6th Annual Harvest Hootenanny is slated for Mark Twain Cave next weekend, the 21st and 22nd, and oh boy does it promise to be a humdinger. A shindig, if you will. And of course you can't have a hootenanny without music. Literally, the definition of a hootenanny is "a gathering at which folk singers entertain." And the Hannibal Rotary has quite the impressive line-up.

Both Friday and Saturday, there will be events and activities for the whole family. Going on all weekend long are the all ages events, including the Farmer's Market, Classic Car Cruise, and pumpkin carving. The kids can enjoy the petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin carving contest, and the fun run 1K dash through the park.

As for the adults, there will be the hotly anticipated Tour de Hannib-Ale on Saturday morning at 8:30, an 18k or 40k bike race with a stop at Fiddlesticks for a beverage (find a registration form here, get it in by the 19th). And of course, don't miss both the wine and beer tastings.
