Police are warning residents of the Tri-States to stay home today (Saturday) if at all possible.

Weather conditions are only expected to worsen throughout the day with predictions of freezing rain turning into 1-2" of snow later in the day. While crews work to plow and salt roads in the area, there are still many slick spots, so if you must go out, PLEASE be careful and drive with caution.

Many Tri-States residents lost power overnight for a short period, but according to a report by WGEM, this was due to an issue with an Ameren transformer and not directly weather related.
