This year's Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, September 12, will be taking place, but it will look quite different than past years thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 walk will be held everywhere. That's right...everywhere. Listed below are the changes coming to this year's walk.

To ensure the safety of all participants, volunteers and staff, large in-person Walk gatherings will not take place this year.

The 2020 Walk will go on in neighborhoods, parks, trails, treadmills, etc. as participants will walk on their own, with their families or with their team with separation.

Aspects of the event this year will be broadcast online so you are encouraged to download the Walk to End Alzheimer's mobile app to enjoy the collective experience. The app is free and accessible on iPhone and Android devices.

Make sure you register as soon as possible if you have not done so already and confirm your mailing address, T-shirt size as well as other information. All who register will receive community awareness flags to help bring excitement and awareness to their own particular neighborhood.

There will also be a drive-thru Promise Garden that Saturday at Upper Moorman Park from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
