Alzheimer's Association

This year's Walk to End Alzheimer's on September 12, will be taking place, but it will look quite different than past years thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Alzheimer's Association in Quincy will be holding a donation drop-off fundraiser event this Saturday.

Wednesday September 18th the Buffalo Wild Wings in Quincy is donating money to the Quincy Walk to End Alzheimer's, the more you spend the more they donate!

This Saturday is the 20th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's at Clat Adams Park in Quincy. Many teams are gearing up and raising much needed funds to help the Central Illinois Chapter reach its goal!

The Quincy Area Branch of the Alzheimer’s Association is selling the 2013 seventh-in-the-series hand blown holiday ornament by regional artist Hiram Toraason during the holiday season. The limited-edition 5-inch ornament is especially designed for the Central Illinois Chapter with shades of bright purple, snowy white, with just a touch of blue.

When I got dressed to come to work this morning I had no idea that my purple shirt would match the purple toilet that showed up on the front door of the radio station. The toilet, as it turns out, is a fund raising promotion for the Alzheimer's Association. Oh I knew about the fundraiser, since I am on the board of directors.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is coming up on Thursday, September 5 at Clat Adams Park in Quincy. Over the years this event has become very well attended and with that boom in participation comes the need for volunteers to make the event happen.

With gas prices what they are today owning a scooter would go a long way in soothing the pain in filling up your tank with gas. With that in mind, the Alzheimer’s Association in Quincy is currently selling raffle tickets to win a brand new 2013 Yamaha Vino Scooter. The scooter was donated by Sullivan Auctioneers to the Alzheimer's Association, something Dan Sullivan has been kind enough to do over

It has become an annual tradition and it only started four years ago, but you will be hard pressed to find more fun than the Sunset Home Bed Races. This morning at 10am the Sunset Home will go crazy as the 4th Annual Bed races take place to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association-Quincy Branch is proud to announce that its 2012 Chapter Ornament is now available. These limited edited, blown glass ornaments are handcrafted by central Illinois artist Hiram Toraason. This is the sixth in an annual series of 5-inch ornaments featuring the Association’s signature color of purple.
