Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed today. St. Louis Zoo visitors were recently treated to a young elephant who decided to unload a furious (and loud) tantrum.

Do yourself a favor and make sure your volume is turned up for this one. You'll thank me later. Based on the video description, it appears this elephant fit at the St. Louis Zoo happened a couple weeks ago, but the video was just shared today. Here's the backstory from the video share:

This video was filmed at St. Louis Zoo in June 2022. An older elephant was attempting to prevent the adolescent elephant from leaving the watering hole. The adorable temper tantrum ensued, leaving spectators in awe (and a bit frightened) by the prehistoric sounds coming from the young elephant.

Turn this up loud enough on your phone, laptop or whatever and you'll likely feel it shake. A lot.

Note to self: if I come across an elephant (Editor's Note: unlikely), and he/she wants to leave a watering hole, let him/her do it.

The St. Louis Zoo website mentions their elephants come from India, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. They also mention their elephants eat between 165 and 330 pounds of food PER DAY. That's ALL CAPS because THAT'S A LOT OF FOOD. I wouldn't want to be the person who doesn't give them whatever amount of food they want or I'm sure I'd hear about it. Loudly.
