An Ursa man is in the Adams County Jail in connection with an alleged Christmas Eve vehicle theft.

Adams County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Highway 96 south of Ursa just before 3:45 p.m. Friday.

As deputies were taking the report, a friend of the victim contacted the sheriff's office to let them know he had spotted the stolen vehicle on the north side of Quincy.

The friend continued to follow the stolen vehicle, updating Adams County Dispatch on its location.

Officers made a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle at North 15th and Cedar and took 37 year old Eric Glas of Ursa into custody.
