Ultimate Ride Scheduled for July
Join in on the fun for the "Ultimate Ride" a biking event in Quincy.
We are all stuck inside with the "Stay at Home" order here in Illinois due to coronavirus, but now we have a fun outdoor biking activity to look forward too, it's called the "Ultimate Ride" and it's being put on by the Quincy Park District and Friends of the Trails. The Ultimate Ride is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 11th and it's going down at the newly completed Bill Klingner Trail, the best part of this event is that fact that there is a family level 10 mile ride, but also a larger 25 mile ride for the more advanced bikers. They say on the event's Facebook page...
"The 10 mile route has a dedicated bike path for a majority of the ride, which makes it perfect for families and all ages! The ride starts and finishes at The Dock. Stick around after the event for food, raffle, and festivities. Food is available to all participants and spectators for a free will donation. Water bottles will be given to all participants. This is a fundraising event for Friends of the Trails."

We definitely here in Illinois need fun outdoor activities to look forward to as the warmer weather is starting to arrive, to get out and stretch out legs from being home sheltering in place. The best part about this fun event is that it is a fundraiser where all of the proceeds raised go to the Friends of the Trails, and will be put towards further development of the very popular Bill Klingner Trail here in Quincy.
