Rabbits

My family loves rabbits. We live in a rural area where they're common as do most people in the Missouri and Illinois area. However, if you happen to see a dead rabbit, it's important that you don't touch it. There is something else you need to do instead.

It takes a special kind of devotion to commit your life to helping rescue native animals that are in distress. That's been the mission statement for a Missouri place that has been rescuing and rehabilitating animals for 43 years.

You never know what you're gonna see when you look in the backyard. That was never more true than when a homeowner recently shared video of a surprising sight outside of their window. It was a deer and bunny just chilling together in the snow.

How do you know you're dealing with a low-life? Answer: when that person or persons steal from an animal rescue which is unfortunately what just happened in Missouri.

Authorities found a disturbing situation involving wild animals in a Sandwich, Illinois home. 20 wild animals including several who were deceased have been removed and police are trying to determine if charges are justified.

You might think bunnies are cute and gentle animals. That's not quite accurate. One Illinois rabbit in particular took exception to a sweatshirt and there's a good reason for his fury.

If you're not familiar with what eagles eat, the answer is whatever they want. Imagine the surprise for this large bird of prey who was outsmarted by a coy rabbit who made the jump of his life.

Last year dog owners gained a venue on which to extract some revenge on their misbehaving pooches with the Dogshaming Tumblr. Now, with the Bunny Shaming Facebook page, folks with pet rabbits have a place to turn when their furballs make trouble.

You may not be aware, but the Easter Bunny has been around for a long time. Easily one of the most recognizable symbols of the holiday, the loveable critter was first mentioned in an essay by German physician and botanist Georg Franck von Frankenau all the way back in 1682. Funny, we always figured he was just a Hallmark creation.

If your family tradition is like mine, you probably celebrate Easter.  I don't and I'll tell you why.  First of all, despite the fact that I rarely take anything seriously (and I have the radio show to prove it), I do take my faith in Jesus Christ very serious.  It's the most important part of me.  So...that being said, why don't I celebrate "Easter"?  Please hear me out on this one.
