Fox 2 Now in St. Louis reports that the Illinois Department of Natural Resources found a 33-year-old Dekalb, Illinois woman who allegedly claimed she was a wildlife rehabilitator. They now believe the license she has is not valid.

- More than 20 wild animals were found including 12 raccoons, seven opossums, two squirrels, two turtles, one chipmunk, and one skunk
- 3 snakes were deceased
- Several animals did not have any water including rabbits
- No charges have been filed as of this time
It gets worse. They announced the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is now involved as they discovered a child lives in the home and they report conditions were unhealthy.
This incident reportedly happened at a home in the 1000 block of Spruce Street in Sandwich, Illinois in Dekalb County.
The recovered animals have now been transferred to a professional licensed animal rehabilitation facility while authorities continue their investigation. The woman's name has not been released at this time.
