One of the largest shopping malls in St. Louis, Missouri, is about to lose one of its anchor stores at the end of the summer.

It was announced earlier this week that the St. Louis Galleria will lose its anchor store, Nordstrom, by August 25. The lcoation will not be vacacnt for long, Dick's House of Sports will be taking over that location soon after Nordstrom closes

According to a press release, 135 jobs will be affected by the closure. Some employees may be transferred to other St. Louis-area locations, but specific details on who and where have yet to be determined.

Where can you find Nordstrom in St Louis?

There will still be plenty of ways to visit Nordstrom in St. Louis. The Nordstrom at West County, along with the Nordstrom Rack locations in Brentwood and Manchester, will remain open, so you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to shop at your favorite department store.

I hate to see this location close, but at least we’ll still have other options for shopping at Nordstrom. Fortunately, the vacant building won’t remain empty for long.
