Sam’s Club members just got some great news, especially those who prefer shopping later in the day.

Sam's Club in Illinois Extend Hours for Members

Effective immediately, Sam’s Club locations in Illinois will now stay open until 8 p.m. on Monday through Sunday, extending their hours from the previous 6 p.m. closing time. The change was announced in a recent press release from the membership-based warehouse retailer.

Why the Hours Were Extended

According to the company, the decision came after receiving overwhelming feedback from members who wanted more flexibility to shop on weekends. The extended hours will make it easier for busy families and working individuals to get their shopping done without feeling rushed. Sam’s Club noted that hours may still vary for major holidays and the upcoming holiday season, which begins soon.

For the Quincy Sam’s Club, the new schedule is now Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all members, with early access for Plus Members from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Holiday hours are also already set for the remainder of the year.

This is welcome news for families like mine. Between outdoor chores, weekend sports, and other activities, or just long days, it’s easy to miss shopping hours. Now, having those extra two hours in the evening makes a big difference.
