The Salvation Army will serve a free community Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The dinner will be held in the gymnasium at the Kroc Center at 405 Vermont Street.

For those needing a ride, transportation will be provided to the Kroc Center. Meals will also be delivered to shut-ins. Those who need a meal delivered or need transportation should call The Salvation Army by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20.

Donations of salad dishes and desserts are needed for the dinner. Please bring dishes in disposable containers. Everyone wishing to donate a salad or dessert for the Christmas dinner is asked to bring them to the Kroc Center between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Christmas morning.

Volunteers are needed from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Those interested in helping serve the Christmas meal should call Alisa Elkins at the Kroc Center at (217) 231-5633. Please leave a message with your name, number of people volunteering, and the time you’ll be able to help.
